Where are you based?
I am based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where I handprint and ship from my home studio.
What are linocut prints?
A linocut print is a form of 'relief print'. A design is carved in a piece of linoleum block or similar material. Ink is then applied to the non-recessed surface of the block with an ink roller, or 'brayer'.
A piece of paper is then firmly pressed onto the block (usually with a printing press) to create the final print. It's an old fashioned, slow process and can require some grit at times, but the results are full of character.
How are prints packaged?
I ship all my prints in a flat protective packaging, so they will be safe during transit and ready to frame on arrival.
How to care for my new prints?
To ensure that your prints stay in the best condition, I recommend framing them. Do not hang or display prints in direct sunlight or moist environments. Use a (non-acidic) mat to avoid damage and yellowing from the print touching the glass. All my prints are made with archival quality ink and paper. With the right care they will stay in excellent shape for a long time!
